Job Description

The main purpose of the job is to maintain and grow the Rectron client base through promoting and selling the full Rectron product range. It is important that you understand you represent Rectron in all your customer dealings and that you are the key stake holder and main contact person for this customer into Rectron.

Primary Objectives:

Customer Engagement & Sales

  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
  • Provide detailed product knowledge.
  • Generate new sales leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to close sales successfully.
  • Schedule meetings between Vendor/PM and clients to grow the business.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Address customer concerns or complaints and resolve them promptly.

Sales Targets & Reporting

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Monitor and track sales activities and provide feedback on Pipeline deals & Backorders.
  • Prepare sales reports for management.

Product Knowledge & Market Insight

  • Stay up to date with product features, benefits, and pricing updates.
  • Represent Rectron at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
  • Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and market opportunities.

Administrative Duties

  • Process sales orders, quotations, and necessary documentation accurately and timeously.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Keep customer details up to date (E.g. Dealer lists etc)

Education/Qualification

  • Minimum: Matric or higher education preferably Sales/IT qualification

Education/Qualification/Skills & Experience

Education/Qualification
  • Minimum: Matric.
  • Diploma or degree in IT / Marketing / Business Communication preferred
Experience (experience required for the job)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Sales environment
  • IT Hardware & Software product knowledge preferred
